Edible Flower Seed Mix

This mix is for gardeners who want colour as well as food. Flowers brighten up a vegetable patch, bring in bees and other pollinators that help fruiting crops, and make a pretty garnish.

1. Check the shop page for the varieties in the mix.
2. Sow shallowly in a tray, or directly into a pot of moist, free-draining mix.
3. Thin or transplant seedlings so each plant has room to grow.
4. Grow in a sunny spot and water when the top of the soil dries.
5. Pick flowers in the morning, after the dew has dried.

Tip: only eat flowers you have identified with certainty and grown yourself without pesticides. Try a small amount first, and avoid them if you have pollen allergies.
