Neem oil sprays are widely used by home growers to manage soft-bodied pests such as aphids, whitefly and mealybugs. They work best as part of regular checking, not as a one-off rescue when a plant is already overrun.

  1. Read the label for dilution, safety directions and how often to spray.
  2. Shake well, mix fresh, and use the diluted spray the same day.
  3. Spray in the early morning or late evening, covering the tops and undersides of leaves.
  4. Test on a few leaves first and check them the next day.
  5. Repeat only at the interval on the label, and wash produce well before eating.

Tip: avoid spraying open flowers while bees are active — spraying in the evening helps protect pollinators.
